Templeton World Charity Foundation (TWCF) is launching its new Listening & Learning in a Polarized World (LLPW) priority as a grant program that adopts the best practices in open science. TWCF believes that open research increases the efficiency of research, and achieves better outcomes earlier in the research process.  The transparency that’s intrinsic to open science facilitates researcher collaboration.

This launch and analysis, from a team led by Kristen Ratan and Sarah Greene of Rapid Science, has the following goals.

Goal 1: Produce a blueprint for collaborative open research that other funders can use

Goal 2: Design experiment to extract data, assess engagement, and report on progress based on the LLPW program launch and activities

Goal 3: Ongoing outreach and education by making the TWCF blueprint visible to the research community, including funders, institutional leadership, and open research and team science advocates through webinars and publications.
