Other Local Initiatives
Templeton World Charity Foundation is honored to support Bahamian communities.
The Foundation is honored to support many non-profit organizations throughout The Bahamas. In addition to our support for The Bahamas Laws of Life Essay Competition our local grantmaking supports a number of local initiatives and research studies. For example, The challenges, successes, and prospects of post-Dorian recovery is a research study undertaken by Dr. Virgil Storr at the Mercatus Center in Washington D.C. We were also proud to have supported Dr.. David Allen and “The Family: People Helping People” Program. Our support is ongoing for Character Day Bahamas (PACE Foundation) and the Sir John Templeton Memorial Scholarships (Lyford Cay Foundations). Additionally, we are proud to support the Young Men's Leadership Program at The Island School, Hands 4 Hunger, and the Scaling Up Local Agriculture grant in the Northern Bahamas with the Blue Atlas Project.
