Templeton World Charity Foundation, Inc. ("TWCF") is a global nonprofit foundation created by Sir John Templeton in 1996 in Nassau, The Bahamas. The Foundation supports a diverse group of researchers to discover new knowledge, develop new tools, and launch new innovations that make a lasting impact on human flourishing. The current grant portfolio of the Foundation comprises over 200 projects in more than 40 countries.
Reporting to the HR Director, the Human Resources Associate plays a critical role in ensuring that the people needs of the organization are met. This position directly supports the various functional responsibilities of the human resources department, including but not limited to recruitment, performance management, time management, rewards, and recognition, learning and development. The HR Associate must be able to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of the company. This individual should have a complete understanding of the role of human resources, best practices and should be empathetic and demonstrate good judgement. The position holder will also play a critical role in a vibrant office culture. The Human Resources Associate should be comfortable with managing multiple, simultaneous projects. A high level of efficiency, attention to detail, confidentiality, discretion and communication skills will all be critical in this role.
Position Summary & Responsibilities:
● Addresses employee queries in a timely and professional manner
● Captures employee data
● Maintains employee records
● Coordinates employee relations activities
● Coordinates learning and development programs for employees
● Maintains confidentiality of any sensitive information
● Assists with the performance management process by providing administrative support
● Assists with the recruitment and onboarding process in terms of candidate communication, record keeping, document collection
● Assists with organizing and documenting safety initiatives
● Provides administrative support for policy development
● Provides general administrative support to the office of the Human Resources Director
Required Experience:
● 3-5 years' experience as an HR Associate or similar role in the Human Resources Department
Required Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, or related field
● High computer literacy skills specific to the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
● Thorough understanding of human resources best practices
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Very good time management and organizational skills
● Meticulous attention to detail
● Ability to work collaboratively and independently
● Highly motivated and reliable
● Friendly and professional demeanor
● Knowledge of local employment laws
● A high level of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
